Water treatment is a process that involves removing contaminants from water to make it safe for consumption or other uses. The process typically involves a series of steps, including coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, Reverse Osmosis , Ultrafiltration , Nano Filtration , Microfiltration ,Remineralisation and disinfection.
NO , these RO systems indiscriminately Remove Dissolved salts from the Tap Water which cause leaching of vital minerals from the body which may result in Osteoporosis, weak Bones , Kidney Malfunction , Sodium and Potassium disbalance and thus effecting bodies vital functions.
Few of the so called advance systems mix Raw Water back to the product water to increase Dissolved salts and intern are defeating the purpose of investment in home RO system
The pH control is very primitive rather not existing and therefore the water produced from these Home Units is acidic and has bad effects on teeth and health of the person consuming this water
There is no quality check of the product water produced by these units in terms of quality , TDS , TSS , Bacteria & Virus . Many companies have introduced timer in the PLC which starts giving warning or stops water production from the unit after one year of operation flashing alarm for replacement of filters. This arrangement is to boost their services business and the technician from the Company replaces the filters and Reset the PLC by pressing the hidden reset Button. If you do not replace any part and just press the reset button for 20 to 30 seconds the unit will start working without any replacement and thus this has no relation on the quality of the water
We suggest to have the centralised RO system in the community and operated by professional with proper quality control and home water filtration system cum UV disinfection system to check the distribution pipe line contamination
The untreated effluent from Industry , over run of pesticides and fertilisers from agriculture is Polluting Ground water aquafers , Rivers, Lakes , Sea which are the sources of water. Some common contaminants found in water include Suspended solids (TSS) Turbidity (cloudiness ) , Reactive and non reactive Silica, Pesticides , Dissolved heavy metals like Iron, Fluorides, Arsenic, Lead , Mercury Chromium ,etc., Hardness , High Dissolved Solids (TDS), Colour, Smell, BOD, COD , Bacteria, Viruses, Organic Compounds ,Chemicals , Rust particles , High levels of disinfectants like Free Chlorine , Reverse Osmosis water low in dissolved salts causing Leaching of minerals from Body, Low or High pH , Leggier saturation Index & Stiff & Devis index not in Safe Range ,High level of Nitrates causing Blue Babby syndrome etc These contaminants and Values can be very harmful to human health ( badly effected on Babies, Growing children , Heart, Kidney , Hypertension and Diabetic patients and senior citizens) and must be removed through water treatment.
